NH Research (Irvine, CA) is specialised in Power Conversion testing. This involves validation as well as production testing of power conversion products like DC-DC converters, DC Power Supplies, Electronic Loads, AC Adapters, AC Sources, UPS, Inverters etc.
NH Research utilises a very powerful systematic approach by incoporating advanced Central Data Aquisition System. This MultiChannel very accurate A/D and D/A system eliminated the need for auxilary equipment like power meters, oscilloscopes, DMM, Signal Generators etc. The system is able to capture directly the voltage and current waves and can make direct power related measurements on them, while at the same time generating te required stimulus. In addition all systemcomponents like AC and DC Sources en Loads feature also built in 16 bit measurement for voltages and current, enabling further measurements. The Sources and loads can be programmed to switch glicthless between several operation modes like CV, CC, CP and CR without the need to switch off. In this way the behaviour of a battery or solar panel can be fully programmed and simulated. .
The associated EMPower software offers an extensive set of standard power routine tests which makes it very easy to generate a full test sequence. Of course user defined measurements can be added easily.
