Regenerative Grid Simulator for Testing of Grid-Tied Inverters, V2G, & Other AC Power Products

The NH Research 9410 series regenerative grid simulator is the smallest and most versatile grid simulators available for IEEE 1547/ UL 1741/ LVRT and similar grid-connected device testing. This grid simulator is a fully-programmable 4-quadrant simulator designed for testing inverters, UPS, and other AC devices. The simulator also supports up to three (3) outputs allowing any combination of DC or 1Φ, 2Φ, & 3Φ AC test channels. Each channel is fully programmable allowing per-output control of the AC voltage amplitude, wave-shape, & phase relationship. In addition, each output channel contains a built-in advanced measurement system including a 125 k Sample/sec waveform digitizer in order to capture and analyze transients, harmonics, & other AC disturbances. These features makes this grid simulator ideal for development, laboratory, and production facility testing especially when a single channel test system is required.

The 9410 series is a four quadrant (bi-directional) AC/ DC source with selectable phase outputs, a built in waveform-digitizing measurement system and robust line disturbance creation tools. When used inthe regenerative (sink) mode, it sends returned power back to the facility mains rather than being dissipated as heat. The most frequent application of the 9410 is use as a grid simulator for PV inverters and other grig-tied products for compliance to industry standards.
